"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." - Marilyn Monroe.

My Passion.

I expect that most people's lives are full of activities and new experiences. That's how it should be.
My life is the same experience over and over, but I never stop learning from it.
If you read my blog consistently, or maybe just here and there, you may have picked up the fact that I swim. Let me get rid of some confusion, first off.
1. There is a difference between someone who swims and a SWIMMER.

  • A person who swims goes to the pool trying to impress others. A SWIMMER goes to the pool to try to make something of themselves. To improve on what they did yesterday.
  • A person who swims sits in the water and blows bubbles all day. A SWIMMER keeps their head under water, only surfacing when the need for breath is almost dire. But they never stop moving.
  • A person who swims goes to the pool for fun. A SWIMMER goes to the pool because they crave it. They crave the smell of chlorine, they crave the solitude the water brings. They crave the pain and satisfaction of knowing they're working for something. Something that has meaning.
  • A person who swims goes to the pool to get tan. A SWIMMER gets tan anyway because they're there 6 hours a day.
  • A person who swims complains about smelling like chlorine. A SWIMMER feels weird if they don't.
  • A person who swims probably goes home and hangs out after. A SWIMMER hangs out, works out, and passes out all in one practice. Impressive.
  • A person who swims goes to the pool with friends. A SWIMMER has been with their friends so long they've become family.
  • A person who swims merely swims for pleasure. A SWIMMER swims because its the only life we know.
Here's how it goes:

Every morning at
I wake up and drive to the pool. I swim until 6:30, then go to school in sweats and a t-shirt with wet hair. Sometimes I fall asleep in class.. not my fault.
After school I go straight to the pool again. For 3 hours. Yay!
Then when I get home around 6:30, I eat dinner like a maniac.
( no, that's not me.)
After dinner, I try to do homework, but usually just end up stalking people on facebook or texting.

Then I fall asleep and do it all over again. It really is a brilliant life. :)

In other words: I love swimming.
Lots.
